Is it really free forever, or will you start charging later?

Yes, the CRM is free and stays free: no trial period, no feature limits and no activation key. Our only income is a small margin on the optional WhatsApp, SMS and email messages you choose to send. Your billing data is a file on your own PC, so you are never locked in.

How much does MyInvoiceDB cost?

The CRM is completely free - no subscription and no activation key. Only optional WhatsApp, SMS and email sending is paid per message from a prepaid wallet you top up from Rs. 10 via Razorpay. The per-message rates are published in the pricing section above and shown again in your wallet before every send; the gateway fee is deducted from the top-up and the rest is credited.

How do I start using MyInvoiceDB?

Click "Download for Windows", run the installer, and sign in once with Google inside the app. Everything in the CRM is free from that moment.

Do I need an account to download?

Accepted Answer

No. The Download button gives you the installer directly, with no form to fill. You sign in with Google once inside the app on your PC, so there is no activation key to type or lose; the same account also opens your customer dashboard for the message wallet. A Microsoft Store edition is being prepared as a second way to install.

Question 6

Windows shows a warning when I run the installer. Why?

The website installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen shows an "unknown publisher" prompt the first time. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway". The upcoming Microsoft Store edition is signed by Microsoft and installs without this prompt.

Is there a mobile app?

No. MyInvoiceDB is a desktop app for 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11. Your account and message wallet at myinvoicedb.com/app work from any phone browser.

Does it work without internet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After the one-time Google sign-in the app opens and bills fully offline. Internet is needed only for wallet top-ups, sending messages, Google Drive backup, Send to CA and app updates.

What happens if my PC crashes or is stolen?

Accepted Answer

Turn on Google Drive backup in Settings. The app uploads a password-encrypted copy of your database daily, weekly or monthly while it is open, and keeps the last seven copies. On a new PC, install the app, sign in with the same Google account and restore from Drive or from a local .crmbak backup file using your backup password.

Can my staff or a second counter use it?

Today one PC holds one database with one owner login. There is no multi-user mode and no network sharing yet. A second PC can start from a backup, but the two copies will not stay in sync.

Does it generate e-invoices, e-way bills or GSTR files?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. Generate the IRN or e-way bill on the government portal and record the numbers on the invoice; they print on the PDF and appear in the Excel export. GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-9 summaries are shown on screen for your CA, and the invoice register exports to Excel.

Can I bring in my existing customers and products?

Yes, from Excel. Download the template inside the app for items, customers or suppliers, fill it in and import the .xlsx or .xls file. There is no direct importer for other billing apps or for opening balances yet.

Is the app available in Hindi?

This website is in English and Hindi. The app's screens are in English today.

Where is my data, and does it ever leave my PC?

Accepted Answer

Your billing data lives in a file called crm_database.db in your Documents folder. It leaves the PC only when you choose: sending a paid message (the invoice number, amount, due date and the customer's number or email go to our server for delivery), using Send to CA, or your own password-encrypted Google Drive backup.

How is this different from the big-brand billing apps?

No yearly subscription, your data on your own PC instead of a vendor's cloud, and full offline use. In return there is no mobile app and no cloud sync yet. The comparison table in the pricing section lists both sides.
